what's next?
offbeat ideas running in my head this morning...
i'm reading Caribbean, by Michener, currently.
and i'm in the chapters dealing with the sugar trade,
and how battles were fought between France and England over it.
prior to sugar, gold & silver made Spain rich.
and the Dutch and English fought with them over those riches.
in the recent past, oil has made certain countries rich.
and certain countries have been fighting over those riches.
so, what's next?
and who will fight over its control?

i'm sure there are other examples of economic wars,
just citing the ones that spurred my thoughts.
(oh, and i'm also reading The Dome, by King - no discussion)
