a poem, to not forget: First they came...
In Germany, they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
And then... they came for me... And by that time there was no one left to speak up.

Indian CEO Says Most US Tech Grads "Unemployable"
sorry to interject my workplace opinion into this, but FUCK THAT NOISE !
http://news.slashdot.org/story/09/06/22/0019233/Indian-CEO-Says-Most-US-Tech-Grads-Unemployable?art_pos=21
i work in the tech world, and IMHO, this is total bullshit.
- how many times have i had to deal with H1Bs who have a "language barrier"? uncountable.
- how many times have i encountered a US tech grad with a "language barrier"? zero.
- how many times have i encountered H1Bs with falsified info on their resume? maybe 50 times.
- how many times have i encountered US grads with falsified info on their resume? maybe 5.
- and how many fucking times have i been told "it works perfectly", AND IT FUCKING DOESN'T? too many.
this really gets me into full-rant mode.
personally, i won't phone-screen, interview, or hire another H1B ever.
i don't care if s/he's got PhDs, patents, articles, whatever.
they can't deliver?
fuck em.
oh ya, i HATE debugging their steamingpilesofcrap code, too.

Congressional Health Care Benefits
i've been concerned with health care & benefits lately...
basically, becuz i'm struggling with the HR & Benefits department at my own workplace.
my frustration and anger are peaked by this kinda thing: Health Care for U.S. Congress.
look how nice their package sounds: FEHBP
and apparently 75% is paid by you & I...
cool, huh?

Time is up
I hope this article, or it's intent, is true:
The Private Health Industry's Time is up.
I really do...
My last few experiences at the doctors office have shown me,
that their hands and tied, and smacked, and twisted, too.
The relief in their eyes, when I ask if I can pay cash,
or do a payment plan, thru them, is palpable.
That the insurance and pharmaceutical industries, have any power, is sickening.
They aren't ambulance chasers.
They are misery makers.
